The Nashville Predators go to “Hockey Town” to take on the best team in the NHL, the Detroit Red Wings. The Nashville Predators’ record this season is 33-18-6 and ranked 5th in the Western Conference. The Detroit Red Wings’ record this season is 39-17-2 and ranked 1st in the Western Conference. Puck drops at 6:38 PM CDT.
Please, watch this video. These people are a disgrace to the Motor City. Video is from Beavis & Butthead, so you know you it is good.
Listen to the Pre-Game Show at 2:30 PM CDT on Predators NOW! I will hopefully bring on a guest and make the show spectacular. You can listen to the show Live right here.

How to Beat The Goalie
The projected starting goalie for the Detroit Red Wings on Fang Faction is Joey MacDonald. This back up goalie has been outstanding ever since Jimmy Howard went out of the line-up with a broken index finger. I know there is limited video on Mr. MacDonald, but hey, I am going to do my best on how the Nashville Predators will try to beat him.
Joey MacDonald isn’t too well at handling the puck. Expect him not to leave his crease much this game. That affects the defense too and helps the Predators’ forecheckers. Due to limited video, I can’t be too sure on this, but MacDonald seems to be weaker on his right side (blocker) than his left side. I am talking about the whole, left side, not just the blocker area.
Thoughts On Both Teams
The Detroit Red Wings are the hottest team in the NHL, right now. With their record setting, 21 straight home wins. This streak is huge for the team as they want to continue to try to make history. Detroit will try to make extend the streak to 22 tonight. With Henrik Zetterburg coming out of the line-up, that will reduce their chances of winning slightly. Tomas Tatar was called up from the Griffins to take the place of Zetterburg in the line-up, not the lines. Tomas Tatar has 13 Goals, 23 Assists in 49 games down on the farm. Also, Dan Cleary has been placed on IR.
The Nashville Predators are on the other bench trying to end the Red Wing’s record. The key to this game, I think, is to get to Joey MacDonald early by putting up a quick goal or two in the first period. He isn’t the only hot goalie playing in this game though. You just can’t forget about Pekka Rinne, who has won 21 wins in his last 26 decisions. That is truly spectacular! Can you say Vezina already? Some roster news, Brian McGrattan has been placed on IR with an upper body injury. Patric Hornqvist is not expected to play this game with an upper body injury as well.
Ryan Ellis’ “Return”
Star youth defenseman, Ryan Ellis, returns close to where he played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The team he played for was the Windsor Spitfires that is only 3 miles away from Joe Louis Arena. I am expecting a number of red Spitfires jerseys in attendance for this game to cheer on their hero. I hope that this can give him a spark.
