RDS (Reseau des Sports, Canada) reporter broke his second Nashville signing in 24 hours with this tweet reporting a new 1 year, 550 000 two way contract for right winger Chris Mueller who spent most of his season with the Milwaukee Admirals. The 5’10 winger had 32 goals and 28 assists in 73 games with the Admirals last season, 10 more points than his 2010-11 campaign.
Mueller signed a one year contract with the Predators in 2010 when is was playing for the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones. He has played a total of 19 games with the Predators and 133 with the Admirals over two seasons.
Mueller could crack the Predators roster this year, depending on who else they sign this off season, but expect him to start the season in the AHL and fight for the chance to move up. At 26 there is still room for improvement with the young winger, but this appears to be a depth signing that won’t cost the Preds too much in the long run.
Nashville, Tenn. (June 21, 2012) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Chris Mueller to a one-year, two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level.

The 5-11, 203-pound right wing also tied for first in the AHL in overtime goals (3) and tied for second in game-winning goals (8), in addition to pacing the Admirals in points (60). The West Seneca, N.Y., native participated in his first AHL All-Star Classic in 2012.
Signed as a free agent on Dec. 27, 2010, Mueller also appeared in four games with the Predators in 2011-12, bringing his career NHL total to 19 games (0g-3a) – all with Nashville over the past two seasons.
