Nashville Predators’ goaltender Pekka Rinne played his first game for Dinamo Minsk against Atlant
in the Kontinental Hockey League Sunday morning in Minsk, Belarus. Rinne led his team to a 3-2 victory by stopping 24 of 26 shots on net.
Rinne’s first period was very shaky in allowing two goals that he usually would stop, but it seemed that he was just trying to feel out the KHL style of play. As the game progressed, he looked much better.
Next Game for Pekka Rinne: Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 AM against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.
Also, the Predators’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, announced the signing of defensemen Jonathon Blum and Matt Moore and forward Chris Mueller.
Jon Blum has spent a lot of time in Nashville while playing for the Predators during the 2010-11 season. Blum was one of the defenseman that helped the Predators reach the Western Conference Semi-Finals for the first time in franchise history.
Last season however was no so good and didn’t reach Head Coach Barry Trotz’s expectations. Not doing so forced Blum to spend most of the season in Milwaukee.
Here is the Press Release sent out by the Milwaukee Admirals.
