Before playing the Winnipeg Jets Friday night, the Nashville Predators made a forward swap with their AHL affiliate Milwaukee Admirals. Nineteen-year-old Filip Forsberg has been assigned to Admirals, while Taylor Beck has been called up to play for the Predators for the first time this season.
Forsberg, who has struggled this season scoring only one goal with four assists in eleven games, has been assigned just to regain confidence in his North American game. Milwaukee will play three games this weekend, Friday and Saturday against the Texas Stars and Sunday in San Antonio.
Fans may remember Beck towards the end of last season, where he was actually playing quite well. Many, including myself, thought he earned a spot on the opening night roster for the 2013-14 season. Beck totaled seven points (three goals, four assists) in sixteen games. This season in the AHL, Beck has five points (three goals, two assists) through eight games.
