Bruins @ Predators Preview (Game 35)

The Nashville Predators (16-15-3) will host the Boston Bruins (24-10-2) for a rare Monday night matchup at Bridgestone Arena.

The last 10 games have been a rollercoaster for the Predators.  They lost 4 straight at home, won three straight, and have just 1 point in their past three. It all comes down to lack of consistency. The Predators are 11-12-3 without Pekka Rinne in net.  For now, it looks like he’s going to be out another couple of weeks; maybe more.  So, the Predators are going to have to make do with mediocre goaltending for the foreseeable future.  With that being said, the formula for winning is simpler than ever:  Score goals.  Tonight is a huge test of where the team is now.  As cliché-ish as this may sound: Tonight’s contest may be the most important game of the season.  If they’re able to grind out a win against a team like Boston(a legit Stanley Cup contender), it could be a huge swing in momentum and give the team a much needed boost in confidence.
