The Nashville Predators get the much anticipated return of Patric Hornqvist Monday night as he has been taken off injured reserve by the club. Hornqvist suffered an upper body injury March 8 against the Edmonton Oilers where he scored the game-winning goal.
Hornqvist's return will bring stability to the offense, especially on the power play and allows his team to have a one-two punch with a man standing in front of the net during the entire man advantage. The Swedish forward has appeared in only fourteen games due to injury, and has three goals, five assists.
In order to make room for the return of Hornqvist, the Predators sent defenseman Ryan Ellis to the Milwaukee Admirals. Head coach Barry Trotz hasn't been pleased with Ellis' play, as he hasn't been doing the things he does best correctly. Ellis was scratched in Nashville's past game for that reason, according to what he told the viewers on Fox Sports Tennessee.
Ellis has appeared in every game for the Preds, except the last one and has two goals, four assists to show in his efforts.
