Notes: Fisher, Gaustad, Hannan and Smith

The Nashville Predators activated Paul Gaustad from injured reserve, placed Scott Hannan on IR and called up Craig Smith from his conditioning assignment with the Milwaukee Admirals Friday afternoon after practice.

Paul Gaustad, the Predators' faceoff ace, suffered an upper body injury March 12 in Dallas and hasn't returned since. Luckily, the coaching staff had someone in the lineup to make up for the lost Gaustad and that was Chris Mueller who slipped into his place with ease.

During Craig Smith's conditioning assignment in Milwaukee, the forward totaled five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in four games. Hopefully, Smith builds off the conditioning assignment like Matt Halischuk and enter into the lineup ready to produce.

Scott Hannan has missed the past five game with an injury suffered March 17 in Edmonton. It wasn't very likely Hannan would have received playing time whether he was healthy or not due to the huge step up in play from Jon Blum and Victor Bartley.

The roster moves are for the preparation of two game, three day road trip against the Colorado Avalanche Saturday afternoon and Chicago Blackhawks Monday night.

Mike Fisher, who blocked a shot in the final minutes of a 7-4 loss to the Phoenix Coyotes Thursday night, will travel with the team, according to John Glennon of The Tennessean. Fisher's hand was proven not to be broken as team doctors looked at Friday. Head coach Barry Trotz said Fisher is questionable for the game against the Avs. In my opinion, he is most likely out in preparation for Monday in Chicago.
