Preds cut roster down to 42

Friday, the Nashville Predators cut nineteen players from their training camp roster. Now comes the process where the remaining guys will go all out  to try and make the team once the final rosters are announced.

Felix Girard (Baie-Comeau, QMJHL), Mikko Vainonen (Kingston, OHL) and Tommy Veilleux (Victoriaville, QMJHL) have been reassigned to their respective junior teams. Also, Taylor Aronson, Anthony Bitetto, Zach Budish, Charles-Olivier Roussel and Josh Shalla have been sent to Milwaukee before training camp begins in the American Hockey League. And lastly, Barry Almeida, Paul Crowder, Kayle Doetzel, Sebastian Geoffrion, Eric Levine, Michael Moffat, Cody Reichard, Teddy Ruth, Vinny Saponari, Mathieu Tousignant and Allen York have all been released from their tryout agreements.

These transactions are definitely not a shocker and no one player stands out that shouldn't have been cut.

The roster now sits at forty-two players — twenty-five forwards, twelve defensemen and five goaltenders. Below is the updated roster.
