Preds roster now sits at 33

A day after cutting nineteen from the training camp roster, the Nashville Predators decided to let go of nine more. With Saturday's cuts, the roster is now at thirty-three.

Brendan Leipsic will be returning to the Western Hockey League's Portland Winterhawks, due to an age rule. However, it does appear that Leipsic is ready to make the next step in turning pro.

The other eight — Scott Darling, Scott Ford, Magnus Hellberg, Kevin Henderson, Michael Liambas, Bryan Rodney, Scott Valentine and Mark Van Guilder — was reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. Below is a look at the current roster.

Forwards: Taylor Beck, Gabriel Bourque, Patrick Cehlin, Rich Clune, Matt Cullen, Mike Fisher, Filip Forsberg, Paul Gaustad, Matt Hendricks, Patric Hornqvist, David Legwand, Simon Moser, Eric Nystrom, Joonas Rask, Miikka Salomaki, Colton Sissons, Craig Smith, Nick Spaling, Viktor Stalberg, Austin Watson and Colin Wilson.

Defensemen: Victor Bartley, Mattias Ekholm, Ryan Ellis, Joonas Jarvinen, Seth Jones, Roman Josi, Kevin Klein, Joe Piskula and Shea Weber.
