Stars @ Predators Preview (Game 32)

The Nashville Predators (14-14-3) will head back to Bridgestone Arena Thursday night to play the Dallas Stars (14-10-5) in their first of five games this season.  Tonight will also embark on a new division rivalry as the Predators and Stars are both in the recently revamped Central Division of the Western Conference.

At this point, both teams are looking for consistency.  Dallas got hammered 6-2 in Chicago on Tuesday and has won just three of their last nine games.  The Predators defeated the Rangers 4-1 Tuesday; it was the first time in five games the Predators came away with two points.  A win tonight against Dallas would be huge for the Predators, as they are finding themselves on the cusp of falling out of playoff contention.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Nashville:   F Paul Gaustad.  Gaustad is coming off a season best three point performance in New York on Tuesday night.  In a time where the “Predator way” has been harshly criticized by fans and media alike, the 4th line centerman had a goal and 2 assists paving the way for a 4-1 victory and snapping a 5 game losing streak.

Dallas: F Antoine Roussel.  Although the Stars have won just three of their past nine games, Roussel has 5 goals and 2 assists in the past seven games.
