Tom Callahan resigns from Preds play-by-play

Late Monday night, the Nashville Predators announced shocking news involving their broadcasting personnel. The team's play-by-play broadcaster Tom Callahan has resigned due to personal reasons. Callahan has been heard calling the games since the 2008-09 season.

“We greatly appreciate Tom’s contributions to our broadcast department and his commitment to making our broadcasts the best they can be,” Predators’ Senior Director of Broadcasting Bob Kohl said in a press release. “And we wish him well in his future endeavors.”

To fill in for Callahan will be Willy Daunic, host of the Predators' pre- and post-game show on the Nashville Predators' Radio Network. Working alongside is color analyst Stu Grimson. The Daunic and Grimson tandem will only be temporary as the Preds will likely find a new play-by-play announcer by the time the team's seven game road-trip is complete.
