Managerial Changes at Fang Faction

Back in April, I was in a taxi headed to the airport in New Orleans when I came across some tweets from a blog I followed called Fang Faction. The old founder was leaving, and he wanted someone to take it over.

That’s where I stepped in, and I have been in charge of Fang Faction since May. I thought it would be fun to write about the Predators for the first time. I had done some other sports writing in the past, but never solely about the Predators. Little did I know that it would lead to so many amazing opportunities.

I am announcing today that I am leaving Fang Faction. I have decided to join my SmashTalk co-host Mark Harris at as a Staff Writer. It is tough to leave this wonderful site, but I believe this is what’s best for me at this time.

There are many people I would like to thank. First, I would like to thank Colin Fitts, the founder of Fang Faction, for letting me take over the site. You had faith in me and let me take the reigns. I am forever grateful to you.

Next, I want to thank Bloguin for giving me almost total control of the site. The Bloguin network is amazing for writers, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Finally, I’d like to thank you, the fans and readers. Everything I put out in the site was for you. Thank you for welcoming me in with open arms and letting me be a part of your lives in any way possible. Thank you for listening to the podcasts, reading the articles, and interacting on Twitter. Even when we disagreed on topics, it was still fun.

I don’t want Fang Faction to die, however. I will be actively searching for someone to take it over. Like I said, the Bloguin network is a great platform for anyone to get their start in sports writing. Look what it did for me. I was just some guy who worked on a couple of smaller sports blogs. At Fang Faction, I got to do things like interview Predators announcer Pete Weber. I never thought I would have such a rewarding experience. I want that for someone else.

If you are at all interested in becoming the new head of Fang Faction, let me know. Direct message me on Twitter @CutlerKlein. I really don’t want Fang Faction to become inactive. It is a wonderful site that deserves content.

So, goodbye Fang Faction. I’ll never forget the experience I had here and what it did for me. I’ll always have a special place for this site in my heart.
