Predators vs Flames Preview (Game 48)

The Nashville Predators (19-21-7) will host the Western Conference cellar dweller Calgary Flames (16-24-6) on Tuesday for their first of three games this season.  Believe it or not this game may serious implications.  When I say implications, I mean draft implications unfortunately.  After being blown out by Minnesota on Sunday, the Predators playoff chances are basically slim to none. With the way the season has gone thus far, I’ll take any positive I can find.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Nashville:   F Craig Smith has a goal and three assists in his past four games.

Calgary: F Sean Monahan.  This guy is a superstar in the making.  I may very well be the only person in the world who believes the Predators should’ve taken him instead of Seth Jones but, his stats speak for them self.  He plays a Jonathan Towes-esque game and is tied for the team lead in goals scored at 13.  (13 goals, by the way, would be tied with Craig Smith for the Predators team lead too)
